Class Descriptions

Crescent LungeClasses at Mighty Yoga range from 60 to 90 minutes in length. All of our classes are conducted in a room heated between 80 and 90 degrees with approximately 60% humidity, unless otherwise designated, The heat helps to detoxify the body and boost your immune system, while reducing muscle and joint tension. Class styles will vary from instructor to instructor and we encourage you to attend classes with everyone to take advantage of this variety.


Some like it hot! Mighty Flow turns up the heat and wrings you out! Through this energetic, vigorous vinyasa practice, you’ll cultivate strength, flexibility, endurance and greater body awareness. Classes include traditional and creative sequences of postures rooted in the breath that will invigorate and challenge you. Instructors offer modifications and variations throughout the class, making these classes accessible for students of all levels.


The focus is on the basics, but this is no easy workout! Taught at a moderate pace, these classes are a great place for beginners to learn the fundamentals as well as for more experienced practitioners to fine-tune their practice. We explore foundational postures and sequences, breaking them down to learn principles of alignment and transitions to keep you safe as well as invite deeper awareness on your mat.


The most challenging level we offer, this strong flow includes creative sequences and advanced poses to challenge and deepen your practice by bringing greater attention to the subtelities of the mind and body. Classes include more complex standing poses, arm balances, advanced transitions, inversions and deepening backbends. You certainly are not expected to be masters of these advanced poses, but you’ll need the desire to try them out and a willingness to modify poses to suit your needs! Prerequisite: A minimum of 6 months of regular yoga practice is strongly recommended for students in this class.


Offered at noon during the weekdays, this 60-minute power flow is perfect if you’ve got a tight schedule. These classes condense our all levels Mighty Flow class into a balanced, vigorous class that jazzes you up and blisses you out long after you’ve left. Please note the studio is not heated during these lunchtime classes.


This class is designed to amp it up, turn it up, and sweat it out. Join your fellow music and yoga lovers for a Mighty Flow set to a mix of “rockin” tunes. This high-energy class gets your heart pumping and clears the mind through the power of sound and yoga. Ignite the dancer within, and you’ll leave class feeling ready to rock everything you do—on and off the mat!


If you thought our Mighty Flow classes brought you to new levels of yogic joy, your haven’t Flow and Restored your way to bliss! These classes turn up the heat with vigorous flows similar to our Mighty Flow classes, but then they slow things down and enhance the experience through longer holds in poses designed to deeply stretch, open and calm. Expect a juicy and invigorating “Aaaahhhh” moment that will leave you relaxed, renewed… restored!


Celebrate your strong, natural alignment in the flow! You’ll still be moving and flowing, but this class weaves in some workshoppy-moments designed to tune up the finer details of your practice. We’ll spend some time breaking down poses or movements so that your flow can be that much more informed and powerful! Feel free to come to class with specific questions about poses, breathing or transitions to help deepen your practice.


This intermediate level class starts with a challenging flow focused on building strength for inversions (including down-dog push-ups, etc). The second part of class is spent developing your inversions practice, including headstand variations, forearm stand and handstand. You should be able to do a headstand away from the wall to participate in this class. Please note that this class is currently only offered in Ithaca.


Pregnant women are more in tune with their bodies than any other point in their lives. In a safe, secure space, we will develop a deeper understanding of what is happening during this incredible time. Classes will include gentle breathwork, visualization and relaxation techniques, along with strong, yet safe movements meant to soothe and empower momma and baby through all stages of pregnancy. It will also offer plenty of time to connect with other expectant moms and invite shared discussions to further support you on this amazing journey. Please note that Prenatal classes are currently only offered in Ithaca.


These classes are our most affordable at $7. Taught at a pace slower than our all levels sessions, these classes can be a great way to develop your practice as well as refine the fundamentals. Variations and modifications for poses will be offered, making this class accessible to all levels. Please note these classes are not heated at our Ithaca studio. In our Hanover studio, these classes are led by recent graduates from our teacher training program and they are heated.

Classes Offered Periodically


AcroYoga Flow & Fly classes blend the three ancient lineages of Yoga, Thai massage, and acrobatics to form the foundation of a unique partner practice. Grounded in breath and “metta” (loving kindness), participants explore partner flows and sequences, experience a deepening trust in themselves and others, and realize that by working in partnership, we manifest far more than we ever could alone. As we explore more dynamic sequences, students will practice inversions and partner acrobatics with the support of a spotter, and learn techniques to develop strength, flexibility, and body awareness. All levels of yogis are invited to come and find their Yoga practice challenged and expanded. No partner required. Joyful, playful, and a great workout! Please note that this class is currently only offered periodically in Ithaca.


If our Mighty Flow classes could be defined as traditional (which we know is not technically true), these classes would be RADICAL! Offering a mix of this and that, our Mighty Mix classes are the time when our teachers dive into a particular aspect of the yoga practice. Whether it’s a deeper exploration of a pose, alignment, anatomy, breath, meditation and philosophy or other creative offerings, these special classes will not only expand your practice, but spice it up, too. Mix topics will be outlined on our website and online schedule as these classes are scheduled. Please note that this class is currently only offered periodically in Ithaca.
