Kat’s personal yoga journey began in 2008. After the opportunity to study with several wonderful teachers around the country, she found her home at Mighty Yoga early in 2013. Kat recently finished her certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200-hour level with Prana Flow creator Shiva Rea. She has also received inspiration from Coral Brown and Janet Stone. Kat’s teaching style integrates an elemental- and chakra-based approach to vinyasa. She enjoys exploring how creatively connecting movement, moment and breath can provide energetic balance. She believes in yoga as a practice that can enable anyone to carry steadiness and grace into daily life.
When not on the mat, Kat likes to be on the tractor. She also spends her time as an organic grain farmer and studies Ayurveda, which she incorporates into her rhythms. Originally from Nebraska, Kat is putting down roots in the Finger Lakes.
