Star O’Neil

Like so many people, I was drawn to yoga for purely physical reasons. At the time I was deeply involved with dance. Both yoga and dance made me feel more physically healthy, helping to increase my strength, flexibility, balance, etc. But most of all, each helped to deepen my awareness of my own body. Yoga helped me access the creative process less from my head, from a THINKING place, but from a deeper, more intuitive place.

With time, the mindfulness of the yoga itself became the focus, helping me to feel more at peace in my body and mind. After practicing for several years, I attended a 200 hour teacher training at Yoga Tree in Plano, TX. When I moved back to Vermont after living in the Dallas area for 13 years, I found in Mighty Yoga an equally welcoming environment, where practitioners can find a sense of success in honoring where they’re at in their own personal practice, rather than that of failure and judgement. I feel honored to help create that space for the community here!
