I began my yoga practice during the COVID-19 quarantine, a time of deep uncertainty, solitude, and personal reflection. Everything slowed down, and I found myself confronted with anxiety and an overwhelmed nervous system that previously snuck by in the busy pace of ordinary life. I turned to yoga as a way to nurture my mental and physical health. What started with a Yoga with Adriene video soon blossomed into a dedicated daily practice spanning over four years, multiple teacher trainings, yoga retreats, and studio classes.

Yoga has profoundly shaped who I am—my values, my lifestyle, and the path I walk in this world. Beyond the physical postures, yoga has taught me how to observe my mind with less reactivity, sit with challenging emotions, and listen to my inner wisdom. I believe yoga is a powerful tool for cultivating awareness—physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. From this place of awareness, we learn more about ourselves and can make more intentional choices that support our holistic well-being.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that the yoga mat is not just a place for movement but a space for self-reflection, insight, and transformation. Each time we step onto the mat, we are invited to deepen our relationship with ourselves. By taking intentional time to be present with our breath, bodies, and minds, we can learn about ourselves and cultivate a deep sense of worthiness–one that extends beyond the mat and into the way we show up in our lives.

At Mighty Yoga, I create a welcoming space where students can return to themselves, reconnect with their breath and body, and choose what best serves them on and off the mat. Ultimately, I believe yoga is not about achieving the perfect pose—it is about deepening our relationship with ourselves, cultivating awareness, and carrying the lessons of the practice into our daily lives.
